Trane Resolute Quest Heat Pump Inverter
Key Features:
Inverter-Driven Performance. The inverter-driven compressor adjusts system output based on heating and cooling demand instead of relying on traditional single-stage operation. This provides more consistent temperatures, improved efficiency, and smoother operation throughout the home.
Cold-Climate Heating. Designed as a cold-climate heat pump, the Resolute Quest maintains heating operation as outdoor temperatures drop, providing dependable electric heating through colder winter conditions. Trane specifies an operating range extending down to -22°F for the 5HCL5 platform.
Multi-Speed Operation. The system can adjust its operation as heating and cooling demand changes, allowing it to use lower output during milder conditions and increase output when the home requires more capacity.
Compact Side-Discharge Design. The low-profile outdoor unit exhausts air through the side rather than the top. At approximately 39 inches wide and only 14.6 inches deep, the 5HCL5036 is well suited for narrow side yards and other installations where outdoor space is limited.
Quiet Operation. Inverter technology and adjustable operation allow the system to reduce output during lower-demand conditions, helping provide quieter operation compared with equipment that must repeatedly cycle at full capacity.
R-454B Refrigerant. This generation uses R-454B refrigerant, Trane's lower-global-warming-potential replacement for R-410A in its newer residential equipment.
Efficient Year-Round Heating & Cooling. The inverter system provides both heating and air conditioning from one system, adjusting operation as outdoor conditions and the home's heating or cooling requirements change.
