• Multi-Speed Inverter Technology. The inverter-driven compressor can adjust its operating speed to better match your home's heating and cooling needs. Instead of relying on traditional single-stage operation, the system can operate at multiple speeds for improved efficiency and more consistent indoor temperatures.

• Compact Side-Discharge Design. The low-profile outdoor unit directs air through the side instead of the top, allowing greater installation flexibility. Its compact footprint makes it well suited for homes with limited outdoor space, narrow side yards, under-deck applications, and other tight installation areas.

• Efficient Heating & Cooling. With efficiency ratings up to 16 SEER2 and 8.1 HSPF2, the system provides efficient year-round heating and cooling while using inverter technology to better manage energy consumption.

• Quiet Operation. The multi-speed compressor and fan allow the system to operate more quietly during lower-demand conditions. Sound levels range from approximately 58–68 dBA depending on system size and operating conditions.

• Flexible System Compatibility. The Trane 16 Side Discharge can be matched with Trane 24V air handlers or furnace-and-coil combinations and is compatible with standard two-stage 24V thermostats, providing greater flexibility when designing a new or replacement system.

• Built for Long-Term Performance. Trane puts its equipment through extensive durability testing, while the compact outdoor cabinet and weather-resistant construction are designed to provide dependable heating and cooling performance through changing outdoor conditions.
