Investigating bedroom airflow during a Seward Park furnace check

One bedroom was not getting enough airflow at this Seward Park home. The homeowner raised that concern during a routine gas-furnace maintenance visit, giving Evergreen a reason to look beyond whether the furnace could simply produce heat. A system can be running while the way air reaches a particular room still deserves attention.

Connecting the higher-stage call

During the investigation, the technician found that the furnace’s W2 connection had not been wired. Without that connection, the system could not call for its higher fan mode as intended. The technician made the wiring adjustment and documented that the system was working correctly afterward.

That was a specific change completed during the visit to address the operating setup behind the airflow concern. Connecting that call allowed the furnace to use the higher fan mode that had previously been unavailable.

A room concern within a maintenance visit

The furnace inspection also included its safety components and sensors, which were reported as working correctly. Continued maintenance was recommended after the appointment.

For a household, a concern about one room can be a useful starting point for a broader equipment check. Here, listening to that concern led the technician to an incomplete control connection. The visit paired the routine furnace inspection with an adjustment aimed at helping the system use the fan operation available to it.
