A Fujitsu mini-split repair in Ravenna

A mini-split that trips a breaker needs more than another reset. At this Ravenna home, the first visit traced the problem to components inside the Fujitsu outdoor unit. The homeowner chose to repair the system, so the work continued with a planned return visit and the recommended replacement parts.

Finding what was behind the power interruption

The original service notes describe a blown fuse and a tripped circuit breaker at the outdoor unit. Our technician worked with technical support to investigate the failure. That review identified the outdoor control boards and outdoor fan as the components needing replacement.

Technical support recommended replacing the outdoor boards and fan together. After discussing the findings, the homeowner approved the repair. This gave the return visit a specific scope, rather than leaving the homeowner to keep trying the system without knowing what had failed.

Returning with the repair components

On the repair visit, we replaced the outdoor control boards, filter module and outdoor fan. We then restored power and ran the system. The technician recorded that it started and began functioning correctly during the operating test.

The homeowner was asked to use the equipment and contact the office if any issues returned. Ongoing maintenance was also recommended. For this home, the repair followed a clear path from an electrical interruption to a technical diagnosis, replacement of the affected outdoor components and a check with the system running again.
