Filter and drain care for five ceiling units in the Central District

Five indoor ceiling units meant five sets of filters to care for at this home in Seattle’s Central District. Evergreen serviced the Mitsubishi mini-split system, cleaning dirty filters and checking how the indoor units performed together.

Working through each ceiling unit

The technician cleaned all of the indoor filters and showed the homeowner how to clean them between service visits. That practical step was part of the appointment alongside the equipment work.

Coil sanitation and drain testing were also completed. The drains were rinsed with water, giving attention to the water-handling side of the indoor equipment as well as the surfaces that move and condition air. With several ceiling units connected to one system, the maintenance covered more than a single room.

Testing with all units calling for heat

The technician checked temperature rise across all five indoor units at full demand and recorded results within the manufacturer specifications. Electrical and refrigerant connections were secure. At the outdoor unit, the refrigerant connections showed no leaks during the check.

The outdoor coil was already very clean. The unit was wiped down and the coil rinsed with water. The visit combined that outdoor care with cleaning, drainage checks and a heating test across the indoor units.

With five ceiling units serving the home, keeping track of filters can become a bigger chore than it first appears. Showing the homeowner how to clean them made the visit useful beyond the appointment itself, with a manageable task to carry into everyday care of the system.
