For the last few years, the Federal Government has offered energy efficiency tax credits for homeowners who install a high efficiency gas furnace or air source heat pump.  Unfortunately, for the last couple of years, the government has had the nasty habit of not announcing or confirming these credits until very late in the tax year.  2015 isn't any different, as it is now October and the Federal Government once again has not confirmed these tax credits for this year.  This leaves homeowners in an unfortunate position, not knowing at the time of purchase if their high efficiency heating system will qualify for a tax credit.  

We will let you know on this blog as soon as we hear anything one way or the other about the 2015 gas furnace and air source heat pump tax credits.
